People have disappeared! Friends and family are gone! Chaos everywhere!
Would God really expect anyone to stay here for another seven years? Could you, would you even begin to trust a God who would inflict this type of pain and anguish on people for another seven years? Remember, many of these were people you loved dearly, your son, your daughter, your mother, and father, your husband or wife...
Many believe this will happen. They believe Jesus is going to sneak up on us; He is going to secretly come and gather His followers home and those who are left behind?... Well, they will wake up to this devastating scenario.
Those who are left behind will spend the next seven years trying to make themselves righteous enough to be called to heaven while those who were raptured will be looking down watching loved ones left behind struggling to come to grips with the realization that they messed up and should have listened to the warnings of those righteous saints who tried to warn them.
I Thessalonians 4:14 -16 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Points to ponder:
Let's look at scripture to see what it really says about the second coming of Christ. But. first, think about this. Those who believe in the rapture believe this is referring to the second coming of Christ. His birth was the first and this is now the second; the rapture. But wait, that means when the seven years tribulation is over He will come a third time?
This scripture is telling us that those who have died in Christ are asleep. If those who have died went straight way to heaven, why does Jesus need to come back here to wake them up?
